Robots
Students builds problem-solving, teamwork, and coding skills, inspiring curiosity and future STEM opportunities while using our robots.

Learning to read
We provide a strong foundation in literacy, enabling students to confidently explore and understand the world around them by learning to read.

Making maths fun
Maths is transformed into an enjoyable, practical subject, enhancing problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.

Music
Our students develop creativity, discipline, and emotional expression through diverse musical experiences and performance opportunities.

Visual arts
We foster imagination and self-expression, encouraging students to explore ideas through various artistic mediums.

Exploring science and technology
Students are engaged in inquiry-based learning, promoting curiosity and understanding of the natural and technological world.

Transition programs
Students are supported with smooth adjustments for new students entering Kindergarten, building confidence and connection within the school community. Students in Year 6 also engage with their local high schools early in the year prior to their move to high school

Student performances
Throughout the year we showcase talents and build students' confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through public presentations.

Rewarding success
We recognise students' achievements that motivates them to strive for excellence and personal growth.
Extra curricula activities

Book week and public education week
The students have fun with dressing up for the annual book week costume parade. This activity is a part of the Public Education week.

Camps and excursions
Our students develop life skills through a variety of educational experiences on overnight camps and school excursions.

School captains
The student leaders inspire, represent, and foster school spirit while developing responsibility and leadership skills.

Sports captains
Lead teams with motivation and sportsmanship, promoting teamwork, dedication, and school pride.

Public speaking
We build students' confidence, communication skills, and leadership through engaging speaking opportunities and presentations. We have a school competition and send students to compete against other schools.

Playground and outdoor learning spaces
Students are encouraged to join in active play, social interactions, and experiential learning in safe, inspiring natural environment.

Library
Our library is a vibrant hub that nurtures curiosity, literacy, and research skills, supporting students’ learning and love of reading.
Physical education
Our teachers promote health, fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and inclusive setting.

Swimming lessons
Our Term 4 swimming lessons teaches vital water safety and swimming skills, enhancing confidence and physical wellbeing.

Sports pathways
All students are supported to develop skills and they are encouraged to part in competitive opportunities for aspiring athletes.

Visiting specialist coaches
Throughout the year, visiting sports coaches support the classroom teachers to provide expert guidance, improving skills and inspiring commitment in various sports.

Team sports
We build cooperation, leadership, and resilience while encouraging an active lifestyle through team sport opportunities for students aged 8 years or older through the Bathurst Small Schools PSSA team sports.

Sports carnivals
Our sports carnivals foster school spirit, healthy competition, and community involvement through exciting sporting events.
Protecting the environment and community involvement
Our students develop responsibility, empathy, and pride through involvement in meaningful local and environmental initiatives.

Anzac and Remembrance day assemblies
We honour history and values, fostering respect and understanding of our shared heritage through Anzac and Remembrance day assemblies .

Recycling and composting
Our students develop skills in sustainable practices, empowering them to care for the environment daily.

Tree planting
Students are encouraged to develop environmental stewardship and connection to nature through hands-on conservation activities. They are always planting trees to improve our school grounds and protect the wildlife.

Chicken house
Meadow Flat Public School partners with the Royal Sydney Show for the annual egg competition, which promotes learning about responsibility, animal care, and sustainable living.

Copper-winged butterfly
Biodiversity conservation promotion inspires curiosity about local wildlife. Our students are recognised with supporting the promotion of the copper-winged butterfly in the local environment.

Veggie garden
Our veggie garden teaches nutrition, sustainability, and patience through growing and harvesting fresh produce. We are often using the produce in the school canteen.
