Occasional bus travel

If your child’s usual travel arrangements change and you wish to have them travel to or from school via bus, please contact the bus drivers to ensure there is a spare seat available for your child. We also ask that you inform the school of any changes to routine so that we can make sure the teacher on bus duty is aware.

Families that live 1.6km or more from a bus stop are eligible for School Dive Subsidy payments from Transport NSW.

Apply for a school drive subsidy

The  School Drive Subsidy  may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport or you need to drive to meet the school bus. and you need to drive more than 1600m.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools. To ensure the safety of all our students during pickup and drop-off times, please use the correct gate and use the following parking instructions.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

Gate A - Main entry gate - bus bay and staff parking only
  • 8:30 am – 9:00 am: This area is for buses and staff only.
  • 9:00 am – 2:40 pm: Visitors and families picking up or dropping off children during school hours may access the area as needed.
  • 2:40 pm – 3:10 pm: Access is restricted to buses and staff only.
Gate B - Playground gate - walkers and parent pickup
  • Vehicles must park nose-in.
  • Park on the school side of the road.
  • Students will stay inside the gate on school grounds until a parent or carer meets them at the gate at 3.00 pm.
  • Please hold your child’s hand when walking to and from your vehicle.

Hi Meadow Flat families.

We have an important update about drop-off and pick-ups starting week one, term for 2025.

These designs are to keep all Meadow Flat students safe.

This is our main gate.

From 8:30 to 9 o'clock, the main gate entrance will be reserved for buses and staff only.

And from 2:40 to 3:10, these gates are for the buses and staff only.

This is our playground gate.

This is where pedestrians and pickups will happen.

At the playground gate, please park your vehicle nose in first.

Please park on the school side of the road.

Students will stay inside the gate until a parent or carer comes to the gate and picks them up.

Children 8 years and younger should be holding hands with an adult.

Parking on school grounds

The school grounds are restricted areas, and this is not allowed. The school gate remains locked at all times.
